It is available in much longer lengths than the Autoglide 5100 and has increased motor power, supports larger and heavier curtains and has a variety of remote-control options, including a system allowing operation through smartphone, tablet and MS Windows apps or it can be hard-wired to a wall switch.
The 5600 is to be installed by a professional and wired into the mains by an electrician.
The 5600 can be bent at time of manufacture to accommodate most situations.

This is a complete electric curtain track kit, with track, fixing brackets and motor (with built in radio receiver) and any remote controls you select.
In addition, you will need curtains, unless you buy some with it on this page, standard curtain hooks and screws and rawl plugs to fix the brackets to your wall or ceiling.
N.B. Any of the controls can be purchased separately in the future and added to your system. It's all compatible, you're not limiting yourself by the choices you make now.
As well as the control options discussed below, the 5600 has a new feature called "Touch and Go", where a small tug on the fabric of the curtain will start the motor to fully open or close your curtains. This works on tracks up to 12m in length.
The 5600 can be hard wired to a wall switch, but this is normally only done on a new-build to save channelling out the walls.
For maximum flexibility, the 5600 comes with a built-in radio receiver that works with a wide range of Silent Gliss remote controls. There are wireless wall switches, handheld remotes and even a system that allows control via mobile phone or tablet app.

The track is provided fully assembled and made to your exact measurements. It just needs fitting using the brackets provided. You will need to get fixings to attach the brackets to your wall or ceiling.
Installation Notes
Face the higher edge of the profile into the room side.
The track (Silent Gliss code 10850) can be fixed to the ceiling:
- by screwing through the track directly into the ceiling without any mounting brackets.
- by fitting mounting brackets (Silent Gliss code 3001) and then attaching the track to the brackets. We can supply the 3001 brackets separately.
Or the track can be fixed to a wall:
- using L-brackets (Silent Gliss code 3134-39), along with fixing brackets (Silent Gliss code 3041). The L-brackets can be covered with bracket covers (Silent Gliss code 3133).
Curtain Hanging Notes
Please note that curtains should be hung so the top of the curtains are below the profile of the track. If the tops of the curtains protrude up and cover the track, it may impede the motor and affect the operation of the system and possibly affect the warranty.
If you have a shaped window, such as a bay window, the track can be bent for you during manufacture.
The 5600 can have as many bends as required.
Simply select the relevant "bending" option when designing your track. We will be in touch to ask you to take a few specific measurements in order to make sure your track fits perfectly.

Silent Gliss Fabrics
In our track designer, you have the option to purchase high quality Silent Gliss curtains along with your electric curtain track.
The fabrics we offer for curtains are Silent Gliss' own, specifically designed and refined for this application.
We currently offer fabrics from their two most popular groups, Colorama 1 and Colorama 2, which have both vivid and more toned-down colours to suit any application.
The fabrics are the same colours in both groups, but:
- Colorama 1 is slightly thinner and therefore more transparent than Colorama 2.
- Colorama 2 is thicker and lets less light through.
Here are a few examples of Colorama 1 vs Colorama 2 fabrics to show the difference in transparency, but don't forget these are without any form of curtain lining, which stops more light and adds privacy.

Unlike most of our competitors who either assemble tracks themselves or buy them assembled from companies other than Silent Gliss, our tracks are manufactured by Silent Gliss directly and sent straight to your door, so you can be assured of the build quality.
Can the Silent Gliss 5600 track be bent for use in a bay window?
Yes! The 5600 electrical curtains tracks can be bent any number of times for an additional cost. Just fill in the number of bends you need in the designer and we'll get in touch to go through the measurements with you once the order is placed.
Is the "Length of Track" requested on your 5600 price calculator inclusive of the motor?
Yes, the track is the same size with or without the motor as it hangs down behind the track, so please enter the full length of track you require. We recommend taking off 1cm if going in a recess for a good fit.
Do you supply these 5600 electric curtain tracks with hooks? If not, which curtain hooks are recommended?
Standard curtain hooks work perfectly well with the track and there is no specific hook recommended. Hooks are not supplied with the tracks.
How long will it take to receive my Silent Gliss electric curtain track order?
On average, just 5 working days for your automated curtains track to be made to your custom measurements and shipped out to you (approx. 7 working days for bent electric tracks). Where curtains are ordered with tracks, the lead time will be approximately 20 working days and the track and curtains will be delivered together.
What happens if the electric curtains track is found to be scratched or damaged when it is unwrapped?
When initially signing for the items, if the boxes look damaged, please sign for them damaged or send them back. If the packaging looks fine and when you open up the product is damaged then please contact us on 01543 279996 and we will organise the product to be picked up and a replacement sent. The Silent Gliss 5600 comes with a 5 year warranty.
How much does delivery cost for the 5600 motorised curtain system?

Can the electrical curtain tracks be operated manually in the event of a power cut?
Yes, up to 12m in length, the 5600 tracks can be manually overridden in the event of a power cut.
Can you supply spare parts for Electric Curtain tracks?
Please see our accessories page for parts for the current 5600 systems. We cannot supply spares for older systems such as Swish tracks unfortunately.
Do you offer any other colours than white?
Yes! The Silent Gliss 5600 is available in white or silver/grey. Select your preferred colour when designing your track.
What weight curtains can these tracks support?
The 5600 can support up to 65kg for a 10m straight track. This capacity is reduced for longer tracks or tracks with bends. Contact us if you're unsure about your specific requirements.
